Join us this September for the annual Women Build event in Harrisburg, Oregon! Last year’s Women Build was our most successful ever and we want to make this year’s gathering even better.
To comply with state guidelines and to make the event as safe as possible for everyone, we are holding Women Build on two days this year! Sign up for either September 19 or September 26 and we’ll make sure you come away from the event energized and with a sense of accomplishment.
Space is limited; a maximum of 25 attendees will be allowed each day. We will be constructing and raising walls and other build activities, and training sessions will be available at the building site the Thursday prior to each build day.
How it Works
The cost to participate in the event is $125 and includes your t-shirt, box lunch, face covering, and pre-build training class. Women are encouraged to form teams, though individual builders are very welcome. The Women Build is a chance to share the Habitat for Humanity story with your co-workers and employers and the participation fee can be raised by individual and corporate sponsorships.
As there is a limit on the number of participants, we will cut off registration when we have 25 committed to each day. Payment is required when registering. Once the slots are full, we will maintain a waitlist for any cancellations.
Registration fees for Women Build are non-refundable, with the exception of changes to Oregon workplace regulations related to COVID-19 that would impact construction.
What is Women Build? Women Build is a fundraiser that provides the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in becoming construction literate, empowering them to acquire new skill sets in a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere. Simply put, Women Build is women coming together to build stronger, safer communities.
Can my employer pay my participation fee? Absolutely! We’re happy to feature your employer as a sponsor of the event in our publicity and at the day of the event. Find the sponsorship document at this link!
