Youth Committee Meetings-August 25th & September 8th

Join us for a committee meeting where we will be discussing summer events, building opportunities, fundraising and more! All meetings are at 5:30pm at the Community Service Center in Junction City, 175 W. 7th Street in JC (the old fire house.)

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Saturday, August 14th- Scandinavian Festival Parking Lot. Come sign up for a shift on Saturday and enjoy the festival!

Saturday August 28th- Youth Landscaping Day! Come help plant trees, grass, flower & plants for the Uriarte family's new house located at 624 Erica Place in Harrisburg. All ages are welcome to help us make this house a home. We will begin at 9:00am & Water and Lunch will be provided. Please contact Rachel [ email ] or 541-998-9548 to sign up!

Community Garden      

We have started to garden at the Community Service Center. All ages are welcome to come help plant veggies & flowers!

Bird House Sale

Our youth program is selling bird houses to help us raise money for the children's bedrooms of the homes Habitat builds. Each bird house is made from pine and are 9 inches sqaure. The feeding hole is 1 1/8 inch for small birds. Buy a bird house for $15.00 or have fun making your own with our bird house kits for $10.00. Youth United  
Youth United is Habitat's New Program to involve young people in our mission to end poverty housing. Our Youth Committee is working to raise funds to cover the costs of the children's bedrooms of the homes we build. Our Youth Program is a great opportunity for students to learn about housing poverty issues and make a difference in our communties! The Youth Committee consists of Youth Leaders who want to help organize events, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.
