Our Mission
Habitat for
Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all
walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and
renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities
in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow in
all that God intends.
What is Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian
organization that helps low-income families build their own homes. The
organization was founded in 1976. They now have over 2100 active
affiliates in 100 countries. 200,000 houses provide simple, decent living
for a million people in more than 3,000 communities! Habitat volunteers
from all walks of life and all religious traditions work together as
partners with families who cannot qualify for conventional home loans.
Habitat is one of the largest home builders in the U.S. Learn more about

The Junction City/Harrisburg/Monroe
Our
three cities are located about 15 to 20 minutes north of Eugene, Oregon,
in the Willamette Valley. Our affiliate was founded in 1995. In that
time we have built eight homes—building new futures for those Partner
Families. With your help, we are increasing our building capacity to two
homes for the first time in our history this year!
Our Staff
Natasha
MacDonald
Natasha
joined our affiliate as Interim Executive Director in January 2008.
She moved from Boston, MA to Eugene in 2005 and has been enjoying the
more relaxed pace of the Northwest. Natasha recently earned her MBA
with a focus in nonprofit management from the University of Oregon.
In addition, she has over 10 years of professional experience in the
nonprofit sector. In her previous employment, Natasha managed
strategic technology initiatives, including project planning,
budgeting, procurement, implementation and staff training. She also
has experience as a nonprofit strategy consultant in which she created
an organizational development plan to guide a youth development
organization’s five-year expansion. She is excited to apply these
skills to help families in need reach their dreams of owning a home!
She also looks forward to building relationships within the Junction
City, Harrisburg and Monroe communities. |
